Leicestershire & Rutland LSCB's main areas of responsibility:
Policies
- The provision of current policies, procedures and guidance covering work in the area of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Communication
- The LSCB provides leaflets, posters and information related to safeguarding children. These are free and and available to download from the publications pages.
Performance Management
- The LSCB has a responsibility to monitor and assess how well agencies meet their responsibilities and work together.
Voluntary and Community Sector
- The LSCB has developed strong links with the Voluntary and Community Sector and has a VCS Reference Group which also supports the Leicester City SCB. More information can be found on the Children's Workforce Matters website.
Independent Chair
- The interim chair of the Leicestershire and Rutland LSCB is Paul Burnett. Paul can be contacted through the Safeguarding Board Business Office.
- The joint vice chairs of the LSCB are Walter McCulloch of Leicestershire County Council and Steven Attwood of Rutland County Council.
